Our body is a temple for Infinite Intelligence. That God spark that is within each of us. Within us there is a healing power that is completely unlimited in possibility in its source. Why should we allow ourselves to be sick or in pain? When we bless our body, our body blesses us with health and strength.
Every fiber of our being vibrates with energy-vibrates with life. Every moment we are being healed and renewed. We are constantly being revitalized and recharged.
So why do we doubt this? We forget that healing, be it healing of mind, body, or spirit, is ours for the asking. No matter what ails us, be it a physical illness, a question of faith, or day-to-day concerns. We have the power to reach into that divine source within and find healing.
Will someone with cancer only have to ask to be healed and it will happen? While cancer may not just disappear (though it has been known to happen) you can be cancer free, have less pain, or be in remission. God never fails us-we only need to ask. One of my favorite poems is The Difference and it says all we need to know beautifully.
I got up early one morning
And rushed right into my day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn’t have time to pray
Problems just tumbled about me
And heavier came each task;
“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered
He said, “But you didn’t ask.”
I wanted to see joy and beauty
But the day toiled on, gray and bleak:
I wondered why God didn’t show me,
He said, “But you didn’t seek.”
I tried to come into God’s presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided
“My child, you didn’t knock.
I woke up early this morning
And paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.
Give thanks for the wonder of your body and all it accomplishes each and every day. Give thanks for the divine energy your body temple houses and is at your disposal.
Ask for whatever healing you need and be happy that your prayers are answered and you are vitally alive.
